200 electronic clusters will be established in the country under the New National Policy on Electronics to be introduced soon.
The Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Kapil Sibal, released the draft policy on electronics, last evening, which aims to generate 2.8 crore jobs in the decade.
He said, by 2020 the electronic market in India is expected to rise to US $400 billion.
Appraising the importance of the policy in maintaining national security, Sibal said it will boost growth in defence, nuclear energy and aeronautical sectors.
The Minister added that government will provide assistance to centres catering to Indian industries, scientists and other organisations.
