The Arunachal Pradesh government launched Agrisnet (Agricultural Information System Network) project in order to create a database for agriculture and allied departments and facilitate effective communication of service delivery system in the state.
AGRISNET is a Mission Mode Project under National e-Governance Plan of Government ofIndiato strengthen and promote agricultural informatics and communications.
The project will disseminate relevant information and services to the farming community and private sector through the use of information and communication technologies, to supplement the existing delivery channels provided by the department.
The Rs 138 lakh pilot project will be implemented in five districts of West Kameng, Papumpare, lower Subansiri,East Siangand Changlang district, State Agriculture Commissioner Hage Kojeen said after launching the portal of the Agriculture Department.
